The Pittsburgh Chapter of ASIS International was chartered January 21, 1957, the 9th chartered chapter in the United States.  Our Chapter went through the approval process and expanded to become ASIS' Western Pennsylvania Chapter on March 24th, 2023. We have taken initiatives to enhance member education, now have Krista Lardieri as our Women in Security Coordinator.

We hope to continue the efforts with our Education Liaison to create stronger partnerships with area colleges. Our Law Enforcement Liaison, Mike Spurr, aids our continued development and assists our members with public Emergency Management.

Our Chapter has grown exponentially since 1957 and today the Western Pennsylvania Chapter member's are involved in a wide range of activities, both professional and social. This chapter continues to grow and achieve even greater levels of education, collaboration and excellence. The chapter possesses a solid core of Leadership who don't turn away from a challenge and possess a spirit of volunteerism that gives tour chapter its drive.
